Echo early pregnancy

Echo early pregnancy

Are you pregnant and want an ultrasound? You can do so for early pregnancy at the gynaecology department of Medical Centre Wetering. From 6/7 to 12 weeks, we can assess a young pregnancy.

What is an ultrasound?

An ultrasound is an examination that uses sound waves to create an image of the uterus and the developing foetus. An ultrasound can be performed to confirm the pregnancy, determine the age of the foetus, assess the health of the foetus and detect any complications.

Ultrasounds in later stages of pregnancy

Once you are 12 weeks or more pregnant, we will refer you to an obstetrician for examinations.
