Until further notice, we have a patient stop for patients with menopausal complaints. Therefore, no appointments can be made for new patients with menopause symptoms.

A gynaecologist is a medical professional who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological and obstetrical disorders. The Wetering Medical Centre employs experienced gynaecologists with several years of work experience in hospitals. The Wetering Medical Centre is a centre of expertise in the field of vulvar and vaginal disorders, IUD insertion, gynaecological ultrasounds and abnormal smears.

Treatments provided by the centre:

• contraception matters
• examination after an abnormal Pap smear
• menstrual disorders
• placing coils (under local anaesthetic if necessary)
• gynaecological ultrasound
• early pregnancy ultrasound (up to 12 weeks)
• intercourse pain
• premenstrual syndrome and hormonal migraine
• desire to have children (exploratory fertility examination)
• PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome)
• pre-conception advice
• pregnancy discomforts and enduring problems after pregnancy
• acute and chronic abdominal pain
• vaginal infections
• labial problems (vulva)
• menopausal symptoms and hormonal matters
• prolapse and incontinence
• osteoporosis
• disorders of the endocrine system

Short Waiting time indication

We will reserve extra time for your first appointment so that, after the intake interview, the required examination can be performed, and the treatment plan can be discussed with you. Treatments will be provided as soon as possible and we will make every effort to ensure that the results of the examination (pathology) will be communicated to you and your GP as soon as possible.

The centre has a treatment room for minor surgery that can be performed either with or without the use of local anaesthesia. After your visit, we will inform your GP about our findings and the relevant therapy. If you wish to receive a copy of that letter, please contact your treating physician to arrange for that
